Who runs it

Here's the bottom line: I made the same jump you're facing, and it worked. I went from leading soldiers as a Cavalry officer to a corporate career I'm proud of, and I now spend my time helping other veterans do the same. If you want guidance from someone who has actually run this transition, not just read about it, you're in the right place.

The short version of my path: I grew up in Omaha, commissioned into the Army as an Armor officer through ROTC, and served seven years in the Cavalry, including a peacekeeping tour in Egypt and a combat deployment to Afghanistan. I left the service in 2019, earned an MBA on the GI Bill, and built a civilian career from there: marketing at Johnson & Johnson, and today leading business transformation at a late-stage medtech company while teaching management at Rutgers Business School.

That path was harder than it needed to be. What moved me forward wasn't a motivational speech. It was people who had already made the jump, giving me the honest version and a plan I could execute. I do this because the help I received is the reason I'm where I am, and because I genuinely enjoy watching a veteran find their footing on the other side. When I'm not working or with my family in New Jersey, I serve as vice-chair of the board at Davis Boxing Club, a nonprofit boxing gym back home in Omaha.
